Super Eagles World Cup 2018 Campaign

Nigeria v Argentina Group D 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia

Indeed it has been a bitter-sweet 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia campaign for the Super Eagles. Starting off with a 2 null defeat against Croatia, a superb victory over the Icelanders and humbly losing to an old rival (Argentina) for the fifth time.

Lagos can be described as a city that never sleeps, but last night (Tuesday, 26th June 27, 2018), was one with an unusual calm in the atmosphere. The last hours were not full of the normal midnight lifestyle that characterized the city. The energy with which we kicked-off the game against Argentina seems to have just fizzled away and caused a deep sleep to fall over the megacity.

What more can be said but to wish the boys a safe journey home! They have done their best and we could only wish for more at the next World Cup 2022 in Qatar. Hopefully, we do not get drawn with Argentina in the group stages.

Let us Rethink the Super Eagles!
Long live the Super Eagles of Nigeria!
Up Super Eagles!
Up Nigeria!
Up Africa!
